Aedicule for Walsh Family Hall
Notre Dame, Indiana
Fall 2020
This aedicule design focuses on an understanding and an application of the grammar and elements of classical architecture, particularly, the orders.
The aedicule is an addition to Walsh Family Hall of Architecture on the Notre Dame campus.
The composition utilizes an intricate layering of engaged Corinthian columns and pilasters completed with a broken entablature and pediment. It complements the existing structure while adding a new visual interest.
